April Class Project - Little Box

Here is my lovely little box - one of my customers set me a challenge to make a box from one sheet A4 card with a top folding closure and here it is :-)  It has matching papers and the top bow is made from the envelope punch board to create the neat little bow.

Here are the instructions if anyone wants to make one..

On short side – score at 6 cm then turn over and score other side at 6 inches
On long side – score at 7 - 13 - 20 - 26 cm
Cut off the small ends and the next square at one end and cut the 3 side squares to the fold trimming a bit off the middle square flap at the sides.
Fold in to make the box and secure the sides with red-line tape
DSP papers are as below
1 piece measuring 8.5 cm x 5.5 cm (lid)
2 pieces measuring 8.5 cm x 6.5 cm (front & back)
2 pieces measuring 5.5 cm x 6.5 cm (ends)
****
Decorate using the Envelope Board to make a pretty bow using card or DSP.
1 piece at 1 inch x 6 inches
1 piece at 1 inch x 4 inches
1 piece at 1 inch by ¼ inch
Put the 6 inch piece on board and score at 3 inches turn over and repeat
put the end so in the middle of cutting semi circle and punch, turn and repeat then do the same at the other end
put the 4 inch piece on board and punch at 2 inches, turn round and repeat
put the end piece with short side into cutting place half way in and punch, repeat other end.

Place the 4 inch piece on table and then fold the end tabs to the centre on the 6 inch piece stick down and wrap the ¼ inch piece around to make a band.. stick onto 4 inch piece with a dimensional and glue dot a button to decorate the top... stick onto top of box.
