Sweetie Treats

We used the sweet treat cups along with the Cupcake punch to make the basket and simply filled with lovely skittles for that rainbow effect in the balloon.  I have never made one of these treat cup cards and could not believe how fabulous it looked.  Now on this one which was my sample card I scored behind the cup on the backing card so that the recipiant could push the sweeties through the scores to remove them but later discovered a variation which had a slider effect so the card was not spoiled once sweeties removed and could be refilled if needed.

I didn't realise and we found out when making lol that you need 2 layers on the top to trap the sticky treat cup within so the slider mechanism works without sticking.. easy once sussed out and we had a giggle making it happen but as always no mistake has not been fixed in our classes (although I have jinxed myself now ha ha).  A bit of bakers twine for the ropes and a fancy bow (with new ribbon which is just lush) finished the card off fab.

The cupcake top when punched out looks like a little cloud and we used it as a template to sponge over to create the cloud backgrounds or you could punch out in white and stick on blue backing as clouds.

Alternative variation with slider

This was another version I made showing the slider version where a little slip of card pulls out to release the sweeties.  This set is sadly retired but oh I do love it :-)
