November Card Class

Back with my lovely ladies for another fun packed day of gossip, craft, tea n cake..

Christmas Easel  Card

We started off with this cheeky santa easel card where he is peeping through his little window through the paper. I love this style card so easy to make yet look so effective the way they open up. The lovely striped paper is from the Merry Moments DSP which has some great double sided papers in lovely christmas colours. This stamp set is one of the hostess ones in the Autumn / Winter catalogue and it has some lovely stamps.  The greeting is done with one of the new punches the Washi punch I am loving this too with its crinkle edges reminds me of my Nana's crimping scissors when I was little :-)

Oval Picture Frame Card

This is the first time I have used this Cajun Craze card colour, it is an unusual colour and looks nice with the Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight to match.  The oval framelits are great the way that they make a frame when layered on each other and its a way of adding a bit of colour but not drown the card with it, the cute little tag is from the curvy keepsake extra dies. Another oldy but goody stamp set Serene Sillouettes which has so many uses with its versatile stamps.  I used flowers on this one but with a manly stamp and stars instead of the flowers you could so use this for a man's card.

Hexagon Delight

Thought I would do a DL card for the last one I really like this shaped card and it gives you that but extra space on the card for greetings or using more space for your stamped images etc..  With the emboss folder on the bottom section it leaves a nice smooth top section for stamping on and again my favourite favourite Gorgeous Grunge dots come out again (my fave stamp ever).  I used the 3 way punch for the ribbon to go through for the bow.  The hexagon stamp set has some fab designs and I have seen so many ways to use it for arrows and cutting v shapes out greeting banners etc.. I was sat desiging the shape of adhering the stamped images on the card and was scratching my head so got mum involved whilst she was sat crafting to get some ideas on the craft desk and she was very pleased we went with her layout and I was a good girl and told the ladies what a superstar she was lol.  I am liking the colour combination used on this one I was after something delicate which my ladies could copy again and changing the greeting could be used for all sorts of events.
